Sometimes a dream waits quietly until the timing is right.
Back in 2018, one of my oldest and dearest friend and I talked about starting online pearl parties. We loved the idea of opening oysters live, discovering the pearls hidden inside, interacting with people, sharing the excitement, and hopefully bringing a smile to someone’s face.
We talked about it often and imagined how much fun it could be. Then life happened, COVID happened, and the idea was quietly tucked away.
Years later, after the loss of my brother-in-law, my friend and I reconnected in the effortless way lifelong friends sometimes do. Around the same time, pearl reveals began finding their way into our conversations again. We sent videos back and forth, started researching, and that old dream suddenly came back to life.
There was also something deeply meaningful about the timing. Pearls held a special connection to my brother-in-law and my family, and seeing them become part of this new chapter in my life felt like a sign that I was heading in the right direction.
This time, I decided to do it—but in a way that felt like me.
I began creating Lavender & Pearls Studio around the experience I wanted to share: a place where you can shop online for pearls, jewelry, oyster openings, and interactive games, then join us live as we open, play, and reveal your order with you.
For me, the magic isn't only in what we discover. It's in the anticipation, the laughter, the surprises, and sharing those moments together.
So I dove in with both feet, with my best friend beside me as my coach, cheerleader, sounding board, and biggest supporter.
And that is how Lavender & Pearls Studio came to life.
