1. Ordering & Payment
How do I place an order?
Orders can be placed directly through our online store. Simply choose the pearl reveal, jewelry item, Pearl Token Hunt game, or other item you would like to purchase and complete your order through checkout.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept the payment methods available at checkout, including major credit and debit cards and other supported payment options.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
Orders may only be changed or cancelled before a live reveal has taken place. Once an oyster has been opened, tokens have been drawn, or your reveal has begun, the order is final and cannot be changed or cancelled.
2. Pearl Openings
How do I watch my pearl opening?
All pearl openings take place during our live shows. Follow Lavender & Pearls Studio on our social media pages to see upcoming live dates and join us for your reveal.
Do I have to be watching live when my pearl is opened?
No. While we would love to have you join us live, we understand that isn’t always possible. Your pearl opening will still take place, and your order will be prepared for you afterward.
Can I request a specific oyster?
Oysters are selected at random during the live reveal to keep the experience fair for everyone. The surprise of discovering what’s inside is part of the fun!
What happens after my pearl is revealed?
Once your pearl is revealed, it will be carefully prepared for your order. If you have purchased an eligible jewelry setting, your pearl will be placed into your chosen piece before your order is prepared for shipping.
3. Pearl Size, Shape & Colour
What size will my pearl be?
Pearl sizes vary, and the exact size of your pearl is part of the surprise! Each pearl will be measured during your live reveal so you can see its size.
What shape will my pearl be?
Pearls come in a variety of beautiful shapes. Your pearl may be round, near-round, oval, button, drop, rice-shaped, baroque, or another unique natural shape.
Can I choose the colour of my pearl?
Unless a product description specifically states otherwise, pearl colours cannot be chosen or guaranteed. Part of the excitement of a pearl opening is discovering the colour waiting inside!
Will my pearl look exactly like pearls shown in photos or during other reveals?
No two pearls are exactly alike. Colour, size, shape, lustre, and natural surface characteristics can vary, making each pearl unique.
4. Edison Pearls & Monster Oysters
What size are Edison pearls?
Edison pearls are known for their larger size and beautiful lustre. They typically range from approximately 8 mm to 11 mm, although they may occasionally be larger or smaller. As with all pearls, size, shape, and colour will vary.
What is a Monster Oyster?
A Monster Oyster is a larger oyster containing a beautiful Edison pearl. Edison pearls are known for their larger size, gorgeous lustre, and variety of colours, making every Monster Oyster opening an exciting surprise.
Will my Monster Oyster shell remain intact?
We make every effort to carefully open your Monster Oyster and keep the shell intact. However, due to the natural and fragile nature of the shell, this cannot be guaranteed.
Can I receive my Monster Oyster shell?
Yes! If your shell remains intact and can be safely and legally shipped to your destination, we will be happy to include it with your order upon request. Due to the fragile nature of the shell and possible shipping or customs restrictions, shells cannot be guaranteed.
Can I choose the size, shape, or colour of my Edison pearl?
No. Every Edison pearl is a surprise, and its exact size, shape, and colour cannot be guaranteed. That surprise is part of the excitement of the reveal!
5. Jewelry & Custom Settings
Can I have my pearl set into jewelry?
Yes! We offer a variety of beautiful jewelry settings, including rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, keychains, and more. Available settings can be purchased through our online store.
Can I send in my own pearl to be set?
At this time, we only set pearls that have been purchased or revealed through Lavender & Pearls Studio.
How do I choose a jewellery setting for my pearl?
You can browse and purchase your jewellery setting through our online store. Once your pearl has been revealed, it will be carefully placed into your selected setting.
What if my pearl doesn't fit the jewelry setting I chose?
Some jewelry settings require specific pearl sizes or shapes. If your revealed pearl is not suitable for the setting you selected, we will work with you to find an appropriate option.
Can jewelry be returned or exchanged?
For hygiene reasons, jewelry cannot be returned or exchanged unless it arrives damaged or faulty. If there is an issue with your order, please contact us as soon as possible so we can help.
6. Shipping & Delivery
How long does it take for my order to ship?
We aim to prepare and ship orders as quickly as possible. Please allow approximately 5–7 business days for your order to be prepared after your live reveal. Orders that include custom jewelry settings may require additional processing time.
Where do you ship?
We ship within Canada and internationally. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times will vary depending on your location and will be calculated at checkout.
Will I receive tracking information?
If your selected shipping method includes tracking, your tracking information will be provided once your order has been shipped.
What if my order is delayed or lost?
Once an order has been shipped, delivery times are controlled by the shipping carrier. If your tracked order has not arrived within the expected delivery timeframe, please contact us and we will assist you in reviewing the tracking information and next steps.
7. Refunds & Returns
Do you offer refunds or returns?
Due to the unique nature of our live pearl reveals and games, all sales are final once an oyster has been opened, tokens have been drawn, or a live reveal has taken place. Jewelry and other products cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.
What if I receive a damaged or incorrect item?
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Please include your order number and clear photos of the item and packaging so we can review the issue and make it right.
8. Miscellaneous
Are pearl openings safe for those with shellfish allergies?
Oysters are shellfish products. If you have a shellfish allergy, we recommend that you do not handle the oyster or shell. Please seek appropriate medical guidance if you have questions about your individual allergy risk.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Absolutely! Gift certificates are available and make a wonderful gift for anyone who loves pearls, jewelry, surprises, and the excitement of live reveals. Gift certificates can be used toward eligible purchases from Lavender & Pearls Studio.
